Join Heather Nuber for four sessions of slow stitching, each class will focus on a different practice. We will cover Embroidery, Hand Sewing/Quilting, Mending/Sashiko & Shibori. Classes are 1 ½ weeks apart, with supplies included.

Enamel Pendant Workshop

Crochet Wool Basket
Saturday, April 26th, 10am-1pm
Join instructor Cara Corey for a beginning crochet class, where you will learn how to construct a sturdy basket (perfect for storing craft supplies, toys or other household items) using your fingers rather than a crochet hook. Cara will provide a selection of hand-felted wool ropes along with leather handles that you can attach to your basket. Students will also learn how to source materials and adjust the pattern to make baskets in different sizes and shapes. The finished basket measures approximately 10 inches in diameter and 8 inches tall.

Women and Water by Meg Erke

Stop Motion Demos: May 17th, 12pm-3pm
“Women and Water” explores swimming as a tool for building strength, joy, collective effervescence, and resilience. Meg uses gouache and watercolor to create layered paintings and stop-motion animations exploring the ideas of transformation and permanence. Viewers are invited to engage with and reshape the narrative through a magnetic panel, painted swimmers, aquatic plants, and creatures, creating their composition.

Watercolor Happy Hour with Meg Erke
Thursday, May 8th , 4:30-6:00pm
We'll start each class with some instruction and a creative prompt to take away any fear over that dreaded empty piece of white paper. When the weather allows we'll move outside to the gazebo and garden area to use our surroundings as inspiration and a chance to dig into observational techniques.

Spring Flow: Cultivating Joy

What does it mean to be in flow? How do you start cultivating joy in your life right now, just as you are? Join artist Megan Moore and psychotherapist Geriann Fedorowicz for a morning of playful self-exploration, mindfulness and creativity. Experiment with finding flow, joy, and non-judgement in painting and in your everyday life.

Felting with Knit and Gather
Saturday, June 7, 12 - 3 pm
Learn the fun free-form craft of needle felting! This is a great art form for those who like creativity without charts, patterns or specifications. Needle felting is also great for the warmer months and is highly portable! Together we will use wool roving to create the 3D figure of your choice, bring your ideas. If you need help deciding what to make, we can help with that too. Within the timeframe, we hope you can complete one small project with the skills to continue on your own!
