Every Tuesday, October 28th- November 25th | 6:30-8:00pm

A really special new offering with limited space! Confident knitters can choose a knit sweater pattern of their choice (approved by instructors) and we will work through it together in five weeks (see suggestions below). We will go over measuring the body, choosing a size, and all of the basic skills for making a sweater (raglan increases, German short rows, picking up sleeves, and more!)

We'll begin with a quick introduction to hand lettering — a bit of typography, a bit of calligraphy, all hand-drawn art. Next, we'll dive into the basics of what makes a letter, the techniques, and different letterforms. Then we'll spend time on some basic exercises to get you thinking about letters in a new way and get comfortable experimenting & exploring ways to bend the rules of type.

We’ll round out the workshop with a project: creating an 8×10 poster of your own hand lettering.

Mondays, November 10 - December 15 | 3:30pm-5:30pm 

In this 6-week after-school class, we'll be building observational skills, exploring water-based media, and using art making as a tool for building one's artistic voice and the confidence necessary for bold creative expression (but also patriarchy toppling).

*All levels of experience welcome! Created for artists ages 12 and up (please reach out if you have a younger artist who is interested).  

What's included?  -A 9 x 12-inch mixed media sketchbook suitable for water-based media  (60 pages) with weekly sketchbook prompts to continue exploration throughout the week.

-All materials used in class. 

-A super supportive community of young artists to create with each week & Instruction and support from me.

Watercolor Happy Hour is a mellow, fast paced way to dive into water based media and build your artistic confidence in a supportive environment.  

*All levels of experience welcome! 

We'll start each class with some instruction and a creative prompt to take away any fear over that dreaded empty piece of white paper. When the weather allows we'll move outside to the gazebo and garden area to use our surroundings as inspiration and a chance to dig into observational techniques.

Join Meg to explore the art of paper quilling. You will use narrow strips of paper to twist, coil, roll, and glue quilled shapes to create a fall leaf design that can be displayed as an ornament or card.

Friday, December 5th, 6:00-7:30pm

Set the tone for the season with a cozy, creative evening of candle making.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll pour a custom candle in a beautiful holiday tree dough bowl, choosing from a curated collection of warm, seasonally inspired scents.
